Ribbed glass breaks light into a soft pattern instead of throwing it flat, which is the whole difference between a pendant that lights a room and one that changes it. Switched off, the fluting still gives it presence.

It comes in clear glass or a deep emerald that reads almost black unlit, in 25 cm and 30 cm. Hung in a row over a kitchen island the effect is deliberate; hung alone over a bedside table or in a hallway it does something quieter. Most people run two or three of the larger size over an island and keep the smaller one for single hangs.

It dims properly, with a dimmer switch and dimmable bulbs.

Note: bulbs aren't included, and wiring is a job for an electrician if you aren't confident with it.
